Guides: Coming Soon
The ItemsExpress guides section is coming soon. Explore the step-by-step sourcing resources we are preparing and the standards they will follow.
What This Section Will Become
Guides will be the most structured part of the library. Each guide should help a reader move from an unclear task to a documented decision using defined steps, checks, and outputs.
A guide will state its scope, prerequisites, and limitations at the beginning. Where a template or checklist is useful, it will be presented as part of the guide rather than hidden behind an account or download gate.
Because sourcing processes change, guides will include a review date and an owner. When a recommendation changes, the update should be visible rather than silently replacing the earlier advice.
Planned Coverage
The Questions We Intend To Answer
These are editorial themes, not unpublished article previews. The central CMS will provide the records, metadata, and publication state.
Writing A Supplier Brief
Turn product requirements into a document suppliers can accurately quote.
Comparing Quotations
Normalise pricing, assumptions, exclusions, and lead times before deciding.
Sample Evaluation
Create a repeatable inspection record and compare samples fairly.
Pre-Shipment Checks
Plan documentation, packaging, quantity, and quality checks before dispatch.
Landed-Cost Worksheet
Bring unit cost, freight, duties, fees, and contingency into one comparison.
Supplier Communication Log
Record decisions and approvals so requirements remain traceable.
Editorial Standards
How We Plan To Publish
The CMS is a publishing tool, not a substitute for editorial judgement. These standards will apply before content appears publicly.
- Each guide will define the problem it solves and the reader it is for.
- Steps will be ordered, numbered, and written as concrete actions.
- Checklists will be usable without an account or payment.
- Guides will include review dates and version notes.
- Legal, tax, and regulated compliance topics will be treated with extra caution and clear disclaimers.

Questions

Downloadable resources may be added after the CMS phase if they can be provided securely and accessibly.
Are Guides Professional Advice?
No. They will be general educational resources and should be adapted with qualified advice where required.
